The case number is 24-001541-CI and was filed on April 5, 2024. The lawsuit is seeking damages in excess of $50,000 for injuries and losses sustained in a car accident.

The plaintiff, Bentley, represented by an unnamed attorney, alleges that on November 27, 2023, defendant Rice negligently operated a motor vehicle causing it to collide with her vehicle. Bentley claims she suffered serious bodily injury, pain and suffering, disability, disfigurement, mental anguish and loss of capacity for enjoyment of life due to Rice's negligence.

Additionally, Bentley alleges that she incurred expenses for hospitalization, medical and nursing care treatment and lost wages due to her inability to earn income following the accident. She further claims that these losses are either permanent or continuing in nature and she will suffer losses and impairment in the future.

Bentley is seeking compensation from both Rice for his alleged negligence and from State Farm Mutual Automobile Insurance Company under her uninsured/underinsured motorist coverage. Her policy with State Farm (Policy Number: K85 6138-E16-59D) allegedly provides coverage designed to compensate her for injuries resulting from negligent acts of uninsured or underinsured motorists.
