Pasco County pair file Roundup lawsuit against Monsanto

Federal Court
Rounduppic

Two Pasco County residents say Monsanto herbicide Roundup is dangerous to humans and shouldn't be sold.

Joanne DiBlasio and Bill Grimes filed their federal complaint against Monsanto Company saying they have suffered because of the company's Roundup herbicide. They say the herbicide is defective, dangerous to human health, unfit for commerce and lacks proper warnings about its dangers.

The plaintiffs claim Monsanto's negligent conduct in the design, development, manufacture, testing, packaging, promoting, marketing, advertising, distribution, labeling and sale of Roundup has resulted in direct harm to the plaintiffs. The active ingredient in Roundup is glyphosate which the plaintiffs maintain is harmful.

DiBlasio and Grimes are seeking compensatory damages for personal injuries sustained from exposure to Roundup. They claim that as a direct result of this exposure, they have developed Non-Hodgkin’s Lymphoma.

Monsanto is a Delaware corporation with its principal place of business in St. Louis, Missouri. This lawsuit comes amidst numerous other similar cases against Monsanto involving its Roundup product.
