CLEARWATER — Two Pinellas County residents are suing another driver, alleging his negligence caused a crash that injured both plaintiffs.

Serguei Mitine and Julia Demkova filed a complaint Jan. 29 in the Pinellas County Circuit Court against Jacob Tyler Duff, alleging failure to operate his motor vehicle in a careful and prudent manner.

According to the complaint, on Nov. 17, 2018, Mitine and Demkova were involved in an automobile collision with Duff's motor vehicle at  the intersection of First Avenue South and Pasadena Avenue in St. Petersburg. They say they sustained bodily injuries and resulting pain and suffering, disability, disfigurement, mental anguish, inconvenience and expense of hospitalization, medical and nursing care and treatment.

The plaintiffs allege Duff negligently operated or maintained his motor vehicle so that it collided with the plaintiffs’ vehicle.

Mitne and Demkova seek trial by jury, damages in excess of $15,000 and all further just relief. They are represented by Matthew T. Rice of Rice Law Group PA in South Pasadena.
