Enterprise Leasing Company of South Florida, employee accused of discrimination

FORT LAUDERDALE — A former employee is suing Enterprise Leasing Company of South Florida LLC and Lisette Dow for alleged age discrimination, disability discrimination and retaliation.

Norma S. Diaz filed a complaint on Aug. 2 in the Broward County Circuit Court, alleging that the defendants breached their duty of good faith and fair dealing.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that she suffered damages on Feb. 1, 2015 as a result of the defendants allegedly terminating her employment based upon her age, disability and in retaliation for her complaints of discrimination. The plaintiff claims that she suffered mental anguish, loss of dignity and loss of future earnings.

The plaintiff holds the defendants responsible for allegedly acting with malice and reckless disregard for her protected rights, and for allegedly interfering with her contractual right to enjoy the same benefits and privileges as other employees.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks judgment against the defendants for damages, interest, court costs and any further relief the court deems just. She is represented by Scott M. Behren of Behren Law Firm in Weston.
