Isle Casino Racing Pompano Park accused of negligence

FORT LAUDERDALE — An individual is suing PPI Inc. d/b/a Isle Casino Racing Pompano Park for alleged negligence.

Dave Turner filed a complaint on Aug. 1 in the Broward County Circuit Court, alleging that the defendant failed to provide a safe environment for its patrons.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that he was seated in a chair provided by the defendant's facility on June 25, 2016 when the chair allegedly broke, causing him to fall to the floor and sustain bodily injuries, pain and suffering, disfigurement, mental anguish and medical expenses. 

The plaintiff holds the defendant responsible for allegedly failing to warn him of the hazardous condition, and for allegedly failing to maintain and correct the condition of the furniture utilized by its patrons.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks judgment against the defendant for damages in excess of $15,000 plus costs of action. He is represented by Latoya Harridon-Lodge of Law Office of LH Lodge PA in Fort Lauderdale.
