ORLANDO — An individual is suing 6101 Sandlake LLC d/b/a Wow Resort for alleged negligence.
Gussie Walker filed a complaint on July 21 in the Orange County Circuit Court against 6101 Sandlake LLC d/b/a Wow Resort, alleging that the defendant failed to provide a safe environment for its patrons.
According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that she was at defendant's hotel as a patron on Sept. 24, 2015. While she was in the shower, she allegedly grabbed a defective handle bar that allegedly broke off, causing her to fall and sustain permanent injuries, disability, disfigurement, mental anguish, the aggravation of a pre-existing condition and loss of earnings.
The plaintiff holds the defendant responsible for allegedly failing to inspect, maintain and remedy the shower area, and for allegedly failing to warn guests of the shower area's dangerous condition.
The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks judgment against the defendant for compensatory damages plus costs. She is represented by Joseph H. Presutti of Farah & Farah PA in Jacksonville.
