Joe's Crab Shack patron seeks more than $15,000 over alleged injuries sustained after fall

ORLANDO – A business invitee is suing the owner of an Orlando Joe's Crab Shack restaurant after she fell after slipping on a liquid in the restaurant.

Nicole Garrison filed a complaint on July 3 in the 9th Judicial Circuit Court of Florida - Orange County against 8400 I-Drive LLC alleging negligence.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on Feb, 28, 2015, she was a business invitee at defendant's restaurant when she slipped on a liquid substance and fell to the floor, causing plaintiff to suffer injury and resulting pain and suffering, disability, incurred medical expenses and loss of earnings. 

The plaintiff holds 8400 I-Drive LLC responsible because the defendant allegedly failed to warn plaintiff of the dangerous condition, failed to timely and properly inspect its property for potentially dangerous conditions, and failed take corrective steps to remedy the condition.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks judgment for damages of more than $15,000 against the defendant together with costs and prejudgment interest. She is represented by Brian M. Davis of The Trial Professionals PA in Orlando.
