ORLANDO — A customer is suing Walgreen Co. d/b/a Walgreens Store #6391 and Jane Doe, its employee, for alleged negligence.

Lisa Billups filed a complaint on June 26 in the Orange County Circuit Court, alleging that the defendants failed to provide a safe environment for her.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that she suffered permanent bodily injury on July 15, 2016, allegedly resulting pain and suffering, disability, inconvenience, mental anguish, medical expenses and/or permanent aggravation of a pre-existing condition caused by Jane Doe abruptly striking her the left arm while performing her job duties.

The plaintiff holds the defendants responsible for allegedly failing to exercise ordinary, reasonable or due care, and for failing to properly train employees.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks judgment against defendants for compensatory and consequential damages in excess of $15,000 including interest on all liquidated damages, attorneys’ fees and costs. She is represented by Moses R. DeWitt of Dewitt Law Firm PA in Orlando.
