ORLANDO — Two Florida residents are suing Southern Fidelity Property & Casualty Inc. for alleged breach of contract.

Debora Clavell and Rafael Olmeda filed a complaint on June 22 in the Orange County Circuit Court, alleging that the defendant breached its duty of good faith and fair dealing.

According to the complaint, the plaintiffs allege that their property sustained a covered loss on April 26, 2016 as a result of water damage. Though the defendant allegedly acknowledged that the property sustained a covered loss and offered payment, the plaintiffs claim that the offered amount was insufficient.

The plaintiffs hold the defendant responsible for allegedly failing to provide coverage for the loss under the terms of the policy and offer to pay an adequate amount.

The plaintiffs request a trial by jury and seek judgment against the defendant for damages plus interest, court costs and attorney’s fees. They are represented by Juan E. Mourin of the Law Offices of Grey & Mourin PA in Miami.
