CLEARWATER – A man alleges he was injured at a St. Petersburg Beach business because of a hole in the parking area.

Jeffrey Polhill filed a complaint on June 21 in the 6th Judicial Circuit of Florida - Pinellas County against Risser Oil Corp. and Caracara LLC alleging negligence.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on May 10, 2015, he was legally upon defendants' premises and was injured when he stepped into a sewer hole in the parking area, twisted his left ankle and fell onto the ground.

The plaintiff holds Risser Oil Corp. and Caracara LLC responsible because the defendants allegedly failed to properly inspect the premises and repair the defective sidewalk and failed to place warning signs around the area where plaintiff fell.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks damages of more than $15,000 plus court costs. He is represented by Jonathan I. Rotstein of Law Office of Rotstein & Shiffman LLP in Daytona Beach
