Slip01

FORT LAUDERDALE — An invitee is suing Macy's Florida Stores LLC and Kellermeyer Bergensons Services Inc. for alleged negligence.

Thawana Robinson filed a complaint on June 15 in the Broward County Circuit Court, alleging that the defendants failed to provide a safe environment for its customers.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that she was injured when she slipped and fell on July 20, 2013 from water on the floor at the entrance of defendants' store, causing the plaintiff to sustain injuries throughout her body and extremities. The fall also allegedly aggravated a pre-existing condition, causing pain and mental anguish. The plaintiff also allegedly incurred medical expenses.

The plaintiff holds the defendants responsible for allegedly failing to warn her of the dangerous condition and for failing to properly maintain and remedy the dangerous condition.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks judgment against defendant for compensatory damages in excess of $15,000 plus interest and costs. She is represented by David S. Magram of David S. Magram PA in Hollywood.
