ORLANDO – A Virginia woman alleges she was injured because of an improperly placed barrier at an event in Orlando.

Victoria Silver filed a complaint on June 15 in the 9th Judicial Circuit Court of Florida - Orange County against TFC Holding Inc., Freeman Decorating Co., Disabled American Veterans, A-R HHC Orlando Convention Hotel LLC and National Construction Rentals Inc. alleging negligence.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on Aug. 10, 2013, she was present on the property owned by A-R for an event hosted by Disabled American Veterans when she tripped and fell over improperly placed barrier equipment provided and set up by TFC Holding Inc. and Freeman Decorating Co. As a result, plaintiff alleges she sustained serious bodily injuries.

The plaintiff holds the defendants responsible because the defendants allegedly created a dangerous condition by improperly placing the barrier equipment, failing to adequately warn the plaintiff as to the existence of the dangerous condition, and failed to implement procedures to ensure that barrier equipment is properly placed.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks judgment against the defendant for damages in an amount of more than $15,000 plus costs. She is represented by Jason R. Manocchio of Robert J. Fenstersheib & Associates PA in Hallandale Beach.
