Woman alleges stones in Sawgrass Promenade parking lot caused her to fall

Slip02

FORT LAUDERDALE – A Palm Beach County woman alleges she was injured at a Deerfield Beach property while walking in the parking lot.

Rae Marie Cambio filed a complaint on June 14 in the Broward Circuit Court against Countryside Property Maintenance LLC and Equity One (Coral Way) Inc. alleging negligence.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on Aug. 10, 2015, she was on defendant's Sawgrass Promenade premises as a guest when she slipped and fell on white stones on the ground, which caused her to sustain injuries resulting in pain and suffering, disability, disfigurement, mental anguish, medical expenses and aggravation of a previously existing condition.

The plaintiff holds Countryside Property Maintenance LLC and Equity One (Coral Way) Inc. responsible because the defendant allegedly failed to properly maintain the premises in a safe condition, failed to train and supervise its employees to locate such hazards and failed to restrict plaintiff access to the dangerous area.

The plaintiff seeks judgment against the defendants for damages of more than $15,000 plus costs. She is represented by Alexander R. Hunt and Kaitlin Stapleton of Goldman & Daszkal PA in Deerfield Beach.
