7-Eleven shopper alleges she was injured in slip and fall at Orlando location

ORLANDO – An Orange County woman alleges she was injured in a fall at an Orlando retail facility.

Abigail Perez Alicea filed a complaint on June 12 in the 9th Judicial Circuit Court of Florida - Orange County against 7-Eleven Inc. alleging that the retail store failed to provide a safe environment for its business invitees.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on March 27, 2016, she was in the premises of the defendant when she slipped and fell on a liquid substance that had been allowed to remain on the floor by defendant's employees, which caused to plaintiff sustain injuries. 

The plaintiff holds 7-Eleven Inc. responsible because the defendant allegedly failed to adequately warn plaintiff that the area was in a dangerous or unreasonably safe condition, and failed to inspect the area where the accident occurred.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks judgment against defendant for damages, costs and further relief as the court deems necessary. She is represented by Daniel P. Osterndorf of Pardy & Rodriguez PA in Orlando.
