Insurance 11

ORLANDO – The owners of an Orlando property are seeking damages from their insurer regarding their claim for property loss.

Luis Ramos and Maria Diaz filed a complaint on June 6 in the 9th Judicial Circuit Court of Florida - Orange County against American Integrity Insurance Co. of Florida alleging breach of contract.

According to the complaint, the plaintiffs allege that on Oct. 7, 2016, their property was damaged directly by water due to an opening in the roofing system. The plaintiffs allege they notified the defendant of the loss and that the defendant has failed to pay the claim nor established that it is not responsible for it.

The plaintiffs request a trial by jury and seek judgment against the defendant for damages, interest, attorney's fees, costs and any other such relief that the court deems proper. They are represented by Thomas J. Morgan Jr. of Morgan Law Group PA in Coral Gables.
