FORT LAUDERDALE – The owners of a Miramar property allege their insurer undervalued the amount of damages to the property.

Angela S. and Jaime A. Valencia filed a complaint on June 2 in the 17th Judicial Circuit Court of Florida - Broward County against Florida Peninsula Insurance Co. alleging breach of contract.

According to the complaint, the plaintiffs allege that on Oct. 6, 2016, their property was damaged. Although the defendant accepted coverage for the loss, the plaintiffs allege it grossly undervalued the extent of the damages to plaintiffs' property.

The plaintiffs request a trial by jury and seek judgment against defendant, award damages, interest, attorney's fees, and other relief the court deems proper. They are represented by Harold Levy of HL Law Group PA in Fort Lauderdale.
