Property owners allege damages should be covered by Anchor Property & Casualty Insurance Co. policy

FORT LAUDERDALE – Pompano Beach property owners have filed suit against their insurer after their claim was denied.

Iphana and Juliot Cyrille filed a complaint on May 25 in the 17th Judicial Circuit Court of Florida - Broward County against Anchor Property & Casualty Insurance Co. alleging breach of contract.

According to the complaint, the plaintiffs allege that on Feb. 9, while their property's insurance was in full force and effect, it sustained a covered loss as a result of a water damage. The suit states the defendant has refused to pay either part or all of plaintiffs' claim. 

The plaintiffs request a trial by jury and seek judgment against defendant, determine that the plaintiff's damages are not excluded under the insurance policy, attorney's fees, interest, costs and other relief deem just. They are represented by Jesse R. Feldman of The Diener Firm PA in Plantation.
