FORT LAUDERDALE – A shopper at a Hollywood store alleges she was injured because of shoes.

Celestina Gangemi filed a complaint on May 23 in the 17th Judicial Circuit Court of Florida - Broward County against Ross Dress For Less Inc. alleging negligence.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on March 21, 2015, she tripped and fell on numerous shoes scattered on the floor of defendant's store, which caused her to suffer from bodily injuries, disability, disfigurement, inconvenience, mental anguish and aggravation of pre-existing condition.

The plaintiff holds Ross Dress For Less Inc. responsible because the defendant allegedly failed to remove the shoes on the floor knowing that it may cause harm, failed to warn plaintiff of the dangerous condition, and failed to place barricades or other marking devices to alert customers.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks judgment against defendant for damages, costs, interest and other relief the court deems just. She is represented by Micah J. Longo of The Longo Firm PA in Davie.
