Man claims he was injured in collision and Allstate hasn't compensated him

Insurance 01

CLEARWATER – A man claims that he was injured in a collision in Palm Harbor and that an insurance company has failed to provide compensation.

Lane Wheaton filed a complaint on May 17 in the 6th Judicial Circuit Court of Florida - Pinellas County against Allstate Fire and Casualty Insurance Co. alleging that the defendant violated the uninsured/underinsured contract by not complying with agreed terms and agreement.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on Oct. 19, 2016, his vehicle was struck by an uninsured/underinsured motorist on U.S. Highway 19 near its intersection with Highlands Boulevard in Palm Harbor. He alleges he was severely injured in the incident.

The plaintiff holds Allstate Fire and Casualty Insurance Co. responsible because the defendant allegedly failed and refused to provide plaintiff compensation for damages caused by the aforesaid motor vehicle accident pursuant to its policy of automobile insurance, including uninsured/underinsured motorist coverage.

The plaintiff seeks judgment for damages of more than $15,000, exclusive of costs and any other further relief which the court deems just and fair. He is represented by Timothy M. Ingram of Ingram Injury Law PA in Clearwater.
