FORT LAUDERDALE – A couple is seeking declaration regarding the coverage of an insurance policy on their Miramar home.

Anthony and Jacqueline Adamson filed a complaint on May 19 in the 17th Judicial Circuit Court of Florida - Broward County against Heritage Property & Casualty Insurance Co. alleging breach of contract.

According to the complaint, the plaintiffs allege that on Oct. 7, 2016, while their Miramar property was insured under a homeowner's insurance policy, it sustained a covered loss. The suit states that the defendant denied the claim.

The plaintiffs are seeking declaratory judgment from the court to establish the existence and extent of the plaintiff's right to coverage under the policy.

The plaintiffs request a trial by jury and seek judgment in their favor, actual damages, interest, attorney's fees, costs and further relief deemed fit. They are represented by Alex Stern of Litigation & Recovery Law Center in North Miami Beach.
