Orlando property owner alleges Olympus Insurance failed to investigate damage claim

Insurance 04

ORLANDO – A man alleges his Orlando property was damaged by blasting and that his insurer failed to full indemnify him.

William Londono filed a complaint on May 18 in the 9th Judicial Circuit Court of Florida - Orange County against Olympus Insurance Co. alleging breach of contract.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on Aug. 28, 2016, while his property's insurance policy was in full force and effect, it suffered blasting damage. Despite the fact that the plaintiff was able to timely report the covered loss, the defendant allegedly failed to property investigate the claim and failed to provide full coverage.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks award against defendant for compensatory damages, prejudgment interest, cost of action, attorney’s fees and further relief as the court may deem just and proper. He is represented by Brittney J. Brinkworth of WM Law Group LLP in Miami Lakes.
