ORLANDO – An Orlando property owner alleges her insurer did not adequately compensate her for damages to her property.

Pamela Goins filed a complaint on May 17 in the Orange Circuit Court against Praetorian Insurance Co. alleging breach of contract of insurance.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on Oct. 14, 2016, her property sustained a covered loss caused by a water discharge in the bathroom. The suit states that the defendant acknowledged and partly compensated the covered loss, the property sustained damages greater than the amount the defendant has provided.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks judgment against defendant, plus costs, prejudgment interest and attorney's fees. She is represented by Jonathan Drake of Strems Law Firm in Coral Gables.
