Ashby "C" Condominium Association Inc. alleged to have failed to provide safe stairway

Slip02

FORT LAUDERDALE – A Broward County man alleges that he was injured because of an unsafe staircase at a Deerfield Beach property.

Seymour Forman filed a complaint on May 18 in the 17th Judicial Circuit Court of Florida - Broward County against Ashby "C" Condominium Association Inc. alleging negligence.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on Nov. 30, 2013, he was visiting a friend at defendant's property, when he slipped and fell on the staircase because of water on the steps. As a result, plaintiff alleges he sustained bodily injury, inconvenience, disability, medical bills and lost earnings.

The plaintiff holds Ashby "C" Condominium Association Inc. responsible because the defendant allegedly failed to provide a safe stairway that was not slippery, failed to warn invitees of any hazardous conditions on the premises, and failed to protect invitees from foreseeable risks.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks judgment against defendant for damages, plus costs of action, and other relief the court deems just. He is represented by Robert C. Rogers Jr. and Beth-Helen Wolfe of Lawrence J. Bohannon PA in Fort Lauderdale.
