Heptagon Concepts LLC alleges Sugarfree Branding hurt business with website work

Contract 09

ORLANDO – An Orlando company that caters to the divorce community by offering a business to sell wedding rings and belongings alleges it lost business because of another company's actions.

Heptagon Concepts LLC, doing business as DreamsRecycled.com, filed a complaint on May 16 in the 9th Judicial Circuit Court of Florida - Orange County against Sugarfree Branding LLC, Sugar Free Media Group LLC and Christopher L. Nault alleging breach of contract.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that in January 2015, it entered into a contract with the defendants to improve on its website. The suit states that the defendants made a grossly incompetent decision to create a new website for the plaintiff instead of rebuilding the existing site. As a result of their negligence, the plaintiff lost its 98 percent Google rating, and over a year's worth of sales and traffic. In addition, the suit states that the new site was under the defendants' server and that the plaintiff was charged a $469 per month initially for hosting. The plaintiff alleges it ended up spending almost $30,000 for a defective site instead of the initially agreed upon $15,048.

The plaintiff holds Sugarfree Branding LLC, Sugar Free Media Group LLC and Nault responsible because the defendants allegedly deceived plaintiff by creating a new site against agreement and failed to maintain the search engine optimization and metatags during the rebuild.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks judgment against defendants for damages, interest, costs and further relief as deemed just. It is represented by David P. Hathaway and A. Felipe Guerrero of Dean, Mead, Egerton, Bloodworth, Capouano & Bozarth PA in Orlando.
