Man seeks underinsured motorist claims from Progressive Select Insurance Co.

Insurance 09

FORT LAUDERDALE – A Broward County man is seeking to settle his claim with an insurer after an accident with an underinsured driver.

Lishandri M. Huches filed a complaint on May 12 in the 17th Judicial Circuit Court of Florida - Broward County against Progressive Select Insurance Co. alleging that the insurer breached its duty of good faith and fair dealing.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on May 21, 2016, he was a passenger in a vehicle traveling on North Andrews Avenue and was struck by an underinsured motorist. He alleges he suffered damages but that he and the defendant have been unable to settle the uninsured/underinsured motorist claims.

The plaintiff seeks judgment against defendant for damages of more than $15,000, costs of suit, interest and other relief as the court may deem just. He is represented by Jeffrey M. Braxton of The South Florida Injury Law Firm in Fort Lauderdale.
