Woman alleges she was injured in crash on I-95 in Fort Lauderdale

Car accident 36

FORT LAUDERDALE – A St. Lucie County woman is seeking damages from three individuals after a collision on Interstate 95.

Deminee L. Harris filed a complaint on May 11 in the 17th Judicial Circuit Court of Broward County against Leroy A. Gordon and Sarah and Steven Peretz alleging negligence.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on July 14, 2015, she was driving on I-95 in Fort Lauderdale when Gordon suddenly shifted to her lane and applied the brakes, which caused plaintiff to hit the back of Gordon's car. Additionally, the suit states that Sarah Peretz, operating a vehicle owned by Steven Peretz, struck the back of plaintiff's vehicle.

The plaintiff holds Gordon, Sarah and Steven Peretz responsible because Gordon allegedly failed to yield the right of way and failed to take evasive action so as to avoid the crash, and Sarah Peretz failed to keep a proper lookout for other vehicles.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks judgment against defendants for general damages and further relief that may be justly entitled. She is represented by Guy C. Icangelo Jr. of Frankl & Kominsky PA in Boynton Beach.
