A Florida man alleges ex-wife, in-laws invaded his privacy when plotting to kill him

ORLANDO — A Florida man is suing Kristine Epperson Pringle, Nancy and Stuart Epperson and John Doe(s), citing alleged intentional infliction of emotional distress, invasion of privacy and trespassing for reportedly plotting to kill him.

William R. McBride filed a complaint on May 11 in the Orange County Circuit Court, alleging that the defendants breached their duties of good faith and fair dealing.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that he suffered from emotional distress, mental anguish, damage to his reputation, loss of enjoyment of life and interferences with his business and personal relationships in October 2013 when he learned that the defendants, his former wife and her parents, allegedly solicited a third party to murder him. The plaintiff also claims that he also found out that another unknown defendant was ordered by the defendants to place electronic surveillance equipment throughout his home and personal vehicle. 

The plaintiff holds the defendants responsible for allegedly acting with reckless disregard and indifference to the his life, forcing him to relocate for fear of his life, depriving him of the use of his home and violating his rights to privacy.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks judgment for damages against the defendants, plus costs, interest and other relief deemed just and proper by the court. He is represented by William R. McBride of McBride, Scicchitano & Leacox PA in Orlando.
