CLEARWATER – A Spring Hill resident alleges she was injured while trying to walk in an unkept grassy area.

Jillian Truppi filed a complaint on May 10 in the 6th Judicial Circuit Court of Florida - Pinellas County against Tarpon Tavern LLC, Cobblestone Management Group LLC and city of Tarpon Springs alleging negligence.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on June 26, 2013, she was in the premises of defendants' property as a business invitee, when she was forced to walk through an unkept grassy/gravel area on her way to the Tarpon Tavern parking lot because some construction equipment was intentionally placed along the sidewalk. The suit states the plaintiff's footing gave way, which caused her to sustain bodily injury, pain and suffering, mental anguish and incurred substantial medical expenses.

The plaintiff holds Tarpon Tavern LLC, Cobblestone Management Group LLC and the city of Tarpon Springs responsible because the defendants allegedly allowed the dangerous condition to exist.

The plaintiff seeks judgment in her favor, for all damages of more than $15,000, plus interest, fees, costs and other forms of relief that the court deems appropriate. She is represented by Frank D. Butler and James S. Curtis of Frank D. Butler PA in Pinellas Park.
