Slip02

ORLANDO – An Orange County man alleges he was injured at a McDonald's restaurant.

Daniel Lucas filed a complaint on May 2 in the 9th Judicial Circuit Court of Florida - Orange County against McDonald's Restaurants of Florida Inc. alleging negligence.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on Dec. 12, 2015, he was at the defendant's location on Goldenrod Road in Orlando and slipped on orange juice, which caused him to fall. He alleges he suffered bodily injury in and about his body and extremities, resulting in pain and suffering, disability, disfigurement, mental anguish, expense of hospitalization and nursing care, loss of earnings and aggravation of previously existing condition.

The plaintiff holds McDonald's Restaurants of Florida Inc. responsible because the defendant allegedly failed to post any caution signs to warn invitees of the hazardous condition of the premises and failed to inspect and correct the dangerous condition.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks damages of more than $15,000, exclusive of interest, costs, attorneys' fees, and other such relief deemed proper by the court. He is represented by W. Clay Mitchell Jr. of Morgan & Morgan PA in Orlando.
