Cruise 10

ORLANDO – A Virginia father alleges his minor child was injured on a Disney cruise.

KW and Erik Ward filed a complaint on April 17 in the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Florida, Orlando Division against Magical Cruise Co. Limited, doing business as Disney Cruise Line, alleging negligence.

According to the complaint, the plaintiffs allege that on April 25, 2016, they were on the ship the Disney Fantasy and that a door slammed shut on the child's finger, causing injuries.

The plaintiffs hold Magical Cruise Co. Limited responsible because the defendant allegedly failed to maintain, warn and mark the doorway that caused injury to the minor plaintiff, failed to eliminate the hazard of the defective door, and failed to provide minor plaintiff with prompt, proper and adequate medical care.

The plaintiffs request a trial by jury and seek judgment against defendant for damages, interest, costs and other relief to which they may be entitled. They are represented by Frank D. Butler and Kelly Ann L. May of Frank D. Butler PA in Pinellas Park.
