St. Johns Insurance Co. alleged to have failed to pay full amount for damage claim

Insurance 09

ORLANDO – An Orange County resident alleges her insurer failed to pay her the correct amount of damages for her property damage claim.

Nicole Costello filed a complaint on April 25 in the 9th Judicial Circuit Court of Florida - Orange County against St. Johns Insurance Co. Inc. alleging breach of contract.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on June 25, 2016, while her property's insurance policy was in full force and effect, her property sustained a covered loss as a result of wind and water damage. The plaintiff holds St. Johns Insurance Co. Inc. responsible because the defendant allegedly failed to pay plaintiff the correct amount of insurance policy benefits for the claim and failed to timely and promptly pay the full amount due and owing.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks judgment against the defendant for damages, plus interest, court costs, attorney’s fees, and further relief as the court deems just. She is represented by David Low of David Low & Associates PA in Fort Lauderdale.
