Velocity Investments seeks nearly $35,000 in unpaid loan

Late 02

CLEARWATER — A creditor is suing James Clarkson, citing alleged breach of contract and unpaid debt stemming from a loan.

Velocity Investments LLC filed a complaint on April 25 in the Pinellas Circuit Court against Clarkson alleging that he breached his duty of good faith and fair dealing.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that, on Feb. 8, 2015, Velocity suffered monetary loss as a result of defendant's default in his payment obligation to make routine monthly payments under the terms and conditions of his account. Thus, the plaintiff contends that the entire loan balance on the account in the amount of $34,753.72 becomes presently due and payable in full.

The plaintiff holds Clarkson responsible because he allegedly failed to fulfill his duty under the agreement forcing plaintiff to retain counsel and pay legal fees.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks judgment against defendant, full payment of balance in the amount of $34,753.72, interest, attorney's fees, costs of court and further relief to which it may be justly entitled. It is represented by Yulexy Solis of Andreu, Palma, Lavin & Solis PLLC in Miami.
