CLEARWATER – A man hired to do electrical work at an Indian Shores property alleges he was injured in fall.

Nicholas J. Resh filed a complaint on April 25 in the 6th Judicial Circuit Court of Florida - Pinellas County against Beach Palms Condominium Association Inc. alleging negligence.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on March 14, he was on defendant's property to perform electrical work. While climbing the roof top through the roof hatch, the suit states the roof hatch closed onto the plaintiff, which caused him to fall violently to the ground. Plaintiff alleges he sustained injuries that resulted in physical and emotional pain, medical expenses and loss of earnings.

The plaintiff holds Beach Palms Condominium Association Inc. responsible because the defendant allegedly failed to maintain the roof hatch in a safe and reasonable condition and failed to warn plaintiff of the danger presented by the faulty roof hatch.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks damages of more than $15,000, plus costs of the action. He is represented by Ted Starr of Starr Law Offices in Pinellas Park.
