Insurance 02

FORT LAUDERDALE – A condo owner alleges his residence was flooded because of negligence in the operation of a water line.

Andrew M. Masciarella filed a complaint on April 21 in the Broward Circuit Court against Deerfield Beach House Condominium Association Inc. alleging negligence.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that in 2014, he incurred cost and expenses of repairing and restoring his condominium unit that was substantially damaged by a flood. The suit states the flood was a direct result of the negligence of defendant's staff to close a water line after completion of repairs.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks judgment against defendant for damages of more than $15,000, plus interest, costs of suit, and further relief as the court may deem just. He is represented by Raymond M. Masciarella II of Raymond M. Masciarella II PA in North Palm Beach.
