Woman says driver was negligent for March 2016 crash

Car accident 12

ORLANDO — An Orange County resident is suing Essie B. Wright and OWL Automotive Group Inc., claiming they were negligent for causing a car accident.

Amarylis Marrero Esquilin filed a complaint on April 24 in the Orange County Circuit Court alleging that Wright failed to exercise standard care and skill required in operating a vehicle that was owned by defendant OWL.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that, on March 15, 2016, she sustained serious and permanent injuries, disability, mental anguish, loss of wages and expenses of medical care as a direct cause of defendant Wright's negligence when she operated the vehicle owned by co-defendant so as to collide with the motor vehicle driven by plaintiff.

The plaintiff holds Wright and OWL responsible because Wright allegedly failed to adequately maintain and operate a motor vehicle so as not to cause harm and failed to be on a proper lookout for other vehicles.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks judgment for damages against defendant for personal injury including the losses enumerated herein, costs, interest and for other such relief as may be just. She is represented by Scott J. Liotta of Dan Newlin & Partners in Orlando.
