Tillis Pest Control owes unpaid overtime wages, former employee alleges

Law money 13

ORLANDO – A Seminole County man alleges his former Debary employer violated wage laws and has filed a class action.

Rob Barbour, on behalf of himself and on behalf of all others similarly situated filed a complaint on April 14 in the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Florida, Orlando Division against Tillis Pest Control alleging that the defendant violated the Fair Labor Standards Act.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that between March 2010 and Nov. 21, 2016, he was employed by the defendant as a manager.

The plaintiff holds Tillis Pest Control responsible because the defendant allegedly failed to pay plaintiff overtime premiums for all of the overtime hours that he worked and failed to make, keep, and preserve records with respect to each of its employees in a manner sufficient to determine their wages, hours, and other conditions of employment.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks payment for unpaid overtime wages, award of prejudgment interest, costs, attorney's fees, and for such further relief as the court deems just and equitable. He is represented by Brandon J. Hill of Wenzel Fenton Cabassa PA in Tampa.
