GA&BI Services LLC alleged to have failed to pay overtime rate

Law money 08

ORLANDO – A former employee for a company that provides cleaning services for hotels alleges he was not paid the proper overtime rate.

Marcus Harrison filed a complaint on April 14 in the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Florida, Orlando Division against GA&BI Services LLC alleging violation of the Fair Labor Standards Act.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that between December 2014 and February 2017, plaintiff worked for the defendants as an hourly paid employee for $10 per hour. The plaintiff holds GA&BI Services LLC responsible because the defendant allegedly failed to pay one-and-one-half times the employee's regular rate of pay for each hour worked in excess of 40 hours per work week.

The plaintiff seeks judgment for unpaid overtime compensation, liquidated damages, attorneys' fees, costs incurred, declaratory relief, and all further relief that the court determines to be just and appropriate. He is represented by Matthew R. Gunter of Morgan and Morgan PA in Orlando.
