Driver alleges he was injured in collision in Orlando

Car accident 02

ORLANDO – An Orlando resident alleges an Apopka individual's negligent driving caused a collision in Orlando.

Steven P. Ratliff filed a complaint on April 18 in the 9th Judicial Circuit Court of Florida - Orange County against Matthew J. Macintosh and Westfield Insurance Co. alleging negligence.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on Dec. 14, 2016, he was operating a motor vehicle on North Orange Blossom Trial when McIntosh failed to pay proper attention and collided with his vehicle. As a result of defendant's alleged wrongful conduct, plaintiff claims he sustained injuries, disfigurement, loss of earnings and incurred medical and hospital expenses. The plaintiff alleges McIntosh had insufficient insurance to cover the plaintiff's losses and seeks damages from Westfield Insurance Co.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks judgment against defendants for damages of more than $15,000, plus costs, interest and further relief as the court deems just. He is represented by W. Andrew Rariden of The Trial Professionals PA in Orlando.
