Jimmy John's franchisee alleges another franchisee unlawfully solicited employees

CLEARWATER – A sandwich restaurant franchisee alleges that another franchisee breached the franchise agreement.

TKJ Ventures Inc. filed a complaint on April 17 in the 6th Judicial Court of Florida - Pinellas County against Gulf Coast JJ's Holdings LLC alleging breach of contract.

According to the complaint, both parties are Jimmy John's franchises. The plaintiff alleges that the defendant directly and repeatedly recruited and hired employees of the plaintiff in violation of the franchise agreement.

The plaintiff holds Gulf Coast JJ's Holdings LLC responsible because the defendant allegedly breached the terms of the franchise agreement by soliciting employees of competing franchise.

The plaintiff seeks judgment against defendant, liquidated damages, attorney's fees, costsand further relief as may be just. It is represented by Joseph M. Herbert of Icard, Merrill, Cullis, Timm, Furen & Ginsburg PA in Lakewood Ranch.
