Tenant accuses property owners of negligence after he fell, was injured

ORLANDO – A tenant of an Orange County apartment claims a step caused him to fall.

Jabar Higgins filed a complaint on April 12 in the 9th Judicial Circuit Court of Florida- Orange County against ROC II FL Auvers Village LLC, CDS-CO 1 Auvers Village LLC and Monument Real Estate Services LLC alleging negligence.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on July 14, 2016, he was on the way to his apartment within defendant's property when a step on the stairway he was using cracked and caused him to fall.

The plaintiff holds ROC II FL Auvers Village LLC, CDS-CO 1 Auvers Village LLC and Monument Real Estate Services LLC responsible because the defendants allegedly failed to inspect the premises and warn plaintiff of the dangerous condition of the area and failed to warn.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks judgment against defendant for damages of more than $15,000 plus costs. He is represented by Brian M. Davis of The Trial Professionals PA in Orlando.
