Former Painting Firm LLC employees allege they were not compensated at proper rate for overtime work

Law money 07

MIAMI – Two former employees of a painting business allege they were not paid overtime wages during their employment.

Melvis Juan Berlanga Villegas and Pedro Jose Serrano filed a complaint on behalf of themselves and all others similarly situated on April 4 in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida against Painting Firm LLC, Charles R. Ansaroff and Jennifer L. Ansaroff citing the Fair Labor Standards Act.

According to the complaint, the plaintiffs allege that they were paid an average of $17.50 per hour during their employment. The plaintiffs hold Painting Firm LLC, Charles R. Ansaroff and Jennifer L. Ansaroff responsible because the defendants never compensated them at the extra half time rate for hours worked over 40 in a week as required by the FLSA.

The plaintiffs request a trial by jury and seek judgment against defendants for double damages, attorney's fees, court costs, interest, and other relief that the court finds reasonable. They are represented by J.H. Zidell of J.H. Zidell PA in Miami Beach.
