Woman claims she slipped, fell while shopping at Walmart location

ORLANDO – A shopper at the Apopka Walmart alleges she was injured in a fall on the property.

Yoanni A. Hunter filed a complaint on March 22 in the 9th Judicial Circuit Court of Florida - Orange County against Wal-Mart Stores East LP alleging negligence.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on Oct. 8, 2013, she slipped and fell on produce and/or water on the floor of the defendant's store while shopping. She alleges that she has suffered bodily injury, pain and suffering and mental anguish.

The plaintiff holds Wal-Mart Stores East LP responsible because the defendant allegedly failed to warn plaintiff of any concealed hazards and failed to correct a known dangerous condition that existed in a reasonable time and manner.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks judgment for damages against defendant in an amount of more than $15,000, plus interest, and costs of action. She is represented by Jack D. King of Law Office of Jack D. King PA in Orlando.
