Law money 05

MIAMI – A Broward County resident alleges that her former vision correction center employer failed to properly compensate her for overtime work.

Tiffany Gold filed a complaint on March 21 in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida against the Stanley D. Braverman MD PA, Stanley D. Braverman, individually, and Debbie Campbell alleging violation of the Fair Labor Standards Act.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that she worked for the defendants as an office clerk from February 2016 to February 2017. The plaintiff holds the defendants responsible because they allegedly failed to compensate her at a rate of time-and-one-half for working more than 40 hours per week.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks judgment against defendants, actual damages, liquidated damages, attorneys' fees, costs, interest and other relief the court deems just. She is represented by J. Freddy Perera of Perera Law Group PA in Davie.
