Law money 01

JACKSONVILLE – A Duval County resident claims he is owed unpaid wages for his work at a Chevron Food Mark.

Pranav Patel filed a complaint on March 21 in the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Florida, Jacksonville Division against Nazimuddin Noorani, NNN Platinum LLC and N Good Luck 7 LLC alleging violation of the Fair Labor Standards Act, unpaid wages and breach of contract.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that from August 2016 to October 2016, he was not compensated for any hours that he worked for the defendants at their Chevron food and gas station. The suit states that Noorani asked the plaintiff to set up a limited liability company to help operate the business for an additional $1,000 per month in compensation, but he has not been paid. He also alleges that he had to pay $10,000 in delinquent taxes and fees that the defendant failed to pay.

The plaintiff holds Noorani, NNN Platinum LLC and N Good Luck 7 LLC responsible because the defendants allegedly failed to fulfill its obligations to plaintiff under the agreement and as promised and denied plaintiff of his right to receive proper wages for every hour worked.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks judgment against defendants for statutory, compensatory and liquidated damages; interest; costs; and attorney's fees. He is represented by T.A. Delegal III and James C. Poindexter of Delegal Law Offices PA in Jacksonville.
