FORT LAUDERDALE – A disabled Broward County man alleges a Lauderdale Lakes business has barriers in its parking lot that restrict his access to visit the property.

Luis Sierra filed a complaint on March 20 in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida against Moonruby LLC alleging violation of the Americans with Disabilities Act.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on March 14, 2017, he personally visited defendant's property but he encountered barriers to access the facility. The plaintiff holds Moonruby LLC responsible because the defendant allegedly denied him full and equal access and enjoyment of the goods and services offered within the facility.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks an order requiring defendant to make its facility accessible to and usable by individuals with disabilities, award for all costs of this suit and such other and further relief. He is represented by Jessica L. Kerr of The Advocacy Group in Fort Lauderdale.
