Couple alleges Nationstar Mortgage continued to call after they revoked their consent

TAMPA – Two Pinellas County consumer claim a creditor has unlawfully contacted them.

Jaroslava Shahin and Ghassan Shahin filed a complaint on March 20 in the Tampa Division of the Middle District of Florida against Nationstar Mortgage LLC alleging violation of the Florida Consumer Collection Practices Act and the Telephone Consumer Protection Act.

According to the complaint, the plaintiffs allege that they revoked their permission for the defendant to contact them in 2014. The plaintiffs holds Nationstar Mortgage LLC responsible because the defendant allegedly continued to call the plaintiff despite revoking their consent to be contacted using an automatic dialer.

The plaintiffs request a trial by jury and seek statutory damages and any further relief this court grants. They are represented by Christopher W. Boss of Boss Law in St. Petersburg.
