ORLANDO – A bank is alleged to have unlawfully continued to contact a Cape Coral man after he revoked his consent to receive calls.

Peter Gerold filed a complaint on March 14 in the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Florida against Chase Bank USA N.A. alleging violation of the Telephone Consumer Protection Act.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that beginning in October 2016, he suffered damages from receiving several collection calls. The plaintiff holds Chase Bank USA N.A. responsible because the defendant allegedly kept on calling the plaintiff despite his request to stop calling.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks statutory damages of $500, treble damages, and any other relief as this court deems just. He is represented by Stan Michael Maslona of Lemberg Law LLC in Wilton, Connecticut.
