Law money 10

MIAMI – Two Miami-Dade County limited liability companies are alleged to have not paid overtime wages to an employee.

Juan C. Familia filed a complaint on behalf of all others similarly situated on March 9 in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida, Miami Division against IKON Builders LLC, Blok Builders LLC, John Kovacs and Rene Cabrera alleging violation of the Fair Labor Standards Act.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that from October 2014 to March 2016, he worked an average of 46 hours per week. The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks enjoin the defendants, award damages to the plaintiff, withheld compensation, overtime compensation, liquidated damages, all legal fees, interest and any other relief as the court deems just.
