Former clerk for Sharyanah Inc. alleges he is owed unpaid overtime compensation

Law money 03

ORLANDO – A former employee of an Osceola County gas station alleges he was not compensated at the proper rate for overtime work.

Michael Daniels filed a complaint on March 2 in the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Florida Orlando Division against Sharyanah Inc. and Saad Ahmad alleging violation of the Fair Labor Standards Act.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that he worked for the defendants as a clerk from August 2015 to January 2017. The plaintiff holds Sharyanah Inc. and Ahmad responsible because the defendants allegedly failed to pay complete overtime pay at a rate of time-and-one-half of the plaintiff's regular wage rate and failed to compensate plaintiff for work off the clock.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks judgment against defendants, unpaid overtime compensation, liquidated damages, attorneys' fees, costs, declaratory relief, and further relief that the court deems just. He is represented by Matthew R. Gunter of Morgan & Morgan PA in Orlando.
