ORLANDO – A former housekeeper for an Orlando hotel alleges she was not paid a minimum wage.

Belinda Stevenson filed a complaint on March 2 in the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Florida, Orlando Division against Trident Hospitality (Florida) LLC, doing business as Days Inn Universal North, alleging violation of the Fair Labor Standards Act.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff was employed by the defendant from February to September 2016 as a paid housekeeper. The plaintiff holds Trident Hospitality (Florida) LLC, doing business as Days Inn Universal North, responsible because the defendant allegedly failed to pay minimum wages to the plaintiff for performing her work during her employment.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks unpaid minimum wages, liquidated damages, interest, all legal fees and any other relief as the court deems just. She is represented by Matthew R. Gunter of Morgan & Morgan PA in Orlando.
